1) Kennesaw State (0-5) The Fowls (#1) take the #1 spot after they got pasted in a home Bummer Bowl to Jacksonville (non-Florida version) State, 63 -24. Next weekend is a BYE before a Tuesday Bummer Bowl at MTSU.
2) UTEP (0-5) The Minors also rise one place
after their 41-21 home loss to Sam Houston State. Next
is a Thursday night conference battle at Western
Kentucky
3) Kent
State (0-5). The Golden Flashless got the BYE week boost before B25
#11 Ball State comes to town for a MAC
Bummer Bowl.
4) Massachusetts (1-5) The Minute-Men lost
at Northern Illinois, 34-20 to maintain their position as the
poll’s worst team with a win. Next up is a trip to national #21 Missouri, who are sure to be angry
after their first 2024 loss.
5) Temple (1-5) The former Fowls #3 are now
Fowls #2 after a 29-20 loss at UConn. Next is a BYE week before
hosting DHMers Tulsa.
6) Troy (1-5) The Trojadies lost at home
to Texas State, 38-17. Next up is a BYE weekend before travelling
to South Alabama for a Wednesday
night special.
7) Florida State (1-5) The Semi-gnomes lost at home to national
#15 Clemson, 29-13. Next is a much needed BYE week before a Friday
night game at Duke.
8) Kansas (1-5) The Nayhawks lost 35-31 at Arizona
State. Next up is a BYE (seems like half the B25 is getting one of those!) before
hosting DHMers Houston for an
(almost) Big 12 (16) Bummer Bowl.
9) UAB (1-4) The Lazy-ers were lasered at
home, 71-20 by Tulane. Next up is a visit to West Point to take on
the undefeated Army Black Knights.
10) Air Force (1-4) The Failcons were shelled
by Navy, 34-7 in Colorado Springs. Next weekend is a Bummer
Bowl at B25 #21 New Mexico.
11) Ball State (1-4) The Marginals played
close but still lost a home Bummer Bowl to Western Michigan, 45-42. Coming up is another MAC Bummer Bowl
at B25 #3 Kent State.
12) Southern Mississippi (1-4) The Golden
Favres lost 23-13 at home to Louisiana. Next is a trip to UL Monroe, to take on the Sun Belt West
leading Warhawks.
13) Utah State (1-4) The Lutes Lu-ost 62-30
at nationally ranked Boise State. Next is a Friday night tilt in Logan
hosting UNLV.
14) Akron (1-4) The Zips took a home
loss to Bowling Green, 27-20. Next
up, they are at former 25ers Western
Michigan, for an (almost) Bummer Bowl.
15) Old Dominion
(1-4) The Butterflies lost 45-37 at Coastal
Carolina, to join the B25. Next is a trip to Atlanta’s largely empty Centre
Parc Stadium to take on the Sports Thinker’s alma mater, Georgia State.
16) Miami of Ohio
(1-4) The DedHawks lost 30-20 at Toledo,
thus entering the poll. Next up,
conference leaders Eastern Michigan host
the DedHawks.
17) Purdue
(1-4) The Shotandabeers also lost their way in, 52-6 at Wisconsin. Next is a road trip to Champaign to take on nationally
ranked Illinois.
18) UCLA (1-4)
The Ruins lost 27-11 at Penn State, dropping
in from the DHM. Next, Minnesota pays
a visit to Westwood.
19) Middle Tennessee State (1-4) The
Blue Faiders took the BYE week drop, as did the next 5 teams in the poll, arriving
here from #6 last week. Next, they are at Louisiana
Tech on Thursday.
20) New Mexico State (1-4) The (What’s
an?) Aggies had a BYE before a Wednesday (almost) Bummer Bowl showdown at
former 25ers, the (non-Florida) Jacksonville State.
21) Rice (1-4) The Fowls #2 became the
Fowls #3 after a BYE. UTSA visits this week.
22) New Mexico (1-4) Los Loblos were
another BYE week beneficiary. B25 #10 Air Force hosts this week in
a MWC Bummer Bowl.
23) Wyoming (1-4) The Cowboils had the BYE
weekend after their first win as a reward and now San Diego State visits.
24) Mississippi State (1-4) One last BYE
week to report and now the Dulldogs travel to Athens to take on the Bulldawgs
of Georgia.
25) Louisiana Tech (1-3) BYE before a Thursday night
visit from MTSU for a Conference USA Bummer Bowl.
