College Football Bottom 25 Poll, Week 10, 2022


The only thing I can say about this week's poll is how many 3-5 teams could there possibly be in the world?

1) Akron (1-8) The aptly named Zips lost a home Bummer Bowl against former B25 #25 Miami of Ohio, 27-9. Next is a Tuesday home date against Eastern Michigan.

2) Massachusetts (1-7) The Minute-men lost a home Bummer Bowl against New Mexico State, 23-13. Next up is a Friday night game at Connecticut.

3) Colorado (1-7) The Beefalos lost a home Bummer Bowl against B25 #22 Arizona State, 42-34. Next, #8 Oregon visits

4) University Of South Florida (1-7) The Nulls lost 42-27 at Houston. Next week us a trip to Philadelphia to take on Temple.

5) Northwestern (1-7) The Mildcats lost 33-13 at Iowa. Next, a certain loss hosting Ohio State

6) Nevada (2-7) The Wolfpups lost 35-28 at San Jose State, which is their 7th straight loss.  Next up is a poorly earned BYE week before a home skein against Boise State.

7) Hawai’i (2-7) The Rainbow Worriers played okay, losing 27-20 on the island to Wyoming. Next up is a visit to Fresno State

8) Arkansas State (2-7) The Ded Wolves lost at home, 31-3 to South Alabama. Next, a needed BYE week before hosting Massachusetts in a Bummer Bowl.

9) Northern Illinois (2-7) The Fusskies lost the Wednesday #12 vs. #13 Bummer Bowl against Central Michigan, 35-22. Next up is another midweek MAC special Bummer Bowl against Western Michigan on Wednesday.

10) Charlotte (2-7) The 49ers won 56-23 at Rice, dropping down 8 spots from #2. Next, Western Kentucky visits.

11) Colorado State (2-6) The Lams lost at Boise State, 49-10. Next up is a California trip to play at San Jose State.

12) Temple (2-6) The Fowls lost at 27-20 Bummer Bowl at Navy. Next up is another Bummer Bowl at home against B25 #4 USF.

13) Boston College (2-6) The Beagles lost an almost Bummer Bowl at Connecticut, 13-3. Next, Duke visits Beacon Hill on Friday.

14) Louisiana Tech (2-6) The Dulldogs lost at Florida International, 42-34. Middle Tennessee State comes to town next.

15) Louisiana-Monroe (2-6) A BYE week drop for the Marhawks. Next, Texas State pays a visit.

16) New Mexico (2-6) Los Loblos had a BYE. DHMers Utah State hosts this week in a MWC Almost Bummer Bowl.

17) Virginia Tech (2-6) The Pokies also had a BYE.  Georgia Tech comes to Blacksburg for an ACC Bummer Bowl.

18) Kent State (3-6) The Golden Flashless lost a Tuesday MAC special hosting Ball State, 27-20. Next up is a Wednesday game at Bowling Green.

19) Western Michigan (3-6) The Boncos lost at Bowling Green on Wednesday, 13-9. Next is a home Bummer Bowl against Northern Illinois on 11/9.

20) Central Michigan (3-6) The Chippewas dropped after winning their Wednesday MAC Bummer Bowl matchup at Northern Illinois, 35-22. Buffalo visits on Wednesday.

21) Old Dominion (3-5) The Butterflies lost 31-17 at former 25ers Georgia State. Marshall comes to Norfolk next.

22) Indiana (3-5) Five straight losses for the Loosiers before last week’s BYE. How in the hell did this team beat Illinois? Penn State comes to town next.

23) Tulsa (3-5) The Foldin Hurricane lost 45-34 at home to SMU. Nationally ranked #19 Tulane visits next for the TUL Bowl.

24) Georgia Tech (3-5) The Mellow Jackets were swatted 41-16 at Florida State. A Bummer Bowl at Virginia Tech is next.

25 tie) Stanford (3-5) The Marginal lost 38-13 at UCLA. Next, Washington State comes to town.

25 tie) Auburn (3-5) Mar Eagle!!! Fired coach Bryan Harsin after a 41-27 home loss to Arkansas. Next, the Tiggers land at Mississippi State.

OUT: Miami of Ohio

DHM: Georgia State, Arizona State, Utah State, New Mexico State, Texas State, Iowa State (6 in a row!), Navy, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Arizona, Nebraska and California.
